The Cisco Certified Network Professional title suggests a mastery of networks. The CCNP is certified to install, configure, and operate LANs and WANs for organizations with networks from 100 to more than 500 nodes with an emphasis on these technologies: security, converged networks, quality of service (QoS), VPNs and broadband.

  • Average amount of monetary bonus expected this year, as reported by the 64 percent of CCNP respondents who said they will probably receive a bonus: $5,483

  • Salaries decreased for 6 percent of respondents by an average of $14,166.

  • Salaries increased for 64 percent of respondents by a median of $6,174.

  • 30 percent of respondents reported no change in salary in the last 12 months.

  • The average CCNP has been certified for 3.2 years. He or she has an average of 8.4 years of experience in networking and/or internetworking.

    Network (support) engineer 23.1%
    Senior network engineer 17.9%
    Network operations 11.9%
    Consulting systems engineer 7.5%
