The Cisco Certified Network Associate indicates an understanding of networking for the small office/home office market. CCNAs are certified to install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer) and have a working familiarity with these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet and Access Lists.

33 percent of respondents reported no change in salary in the last 12 months.

The average CCNA has been certified for 1.9 years. He or she has an average of 6.2 years of experience in networking and/or internetworking.

Senior network engineer 11.2%
Network operations 6.6%
Consulting systems engineer 6.2%
