Does anyone know If the new CCNA exam covers the IOS 12.4 or 12.4T?
I'm studying for the test, using the study guide by Sybex, and it covers the IOS 12.4 version. Would that be current for the new exam?

The version of the IOS doesn't matter, knowing what versions there are , the commands, sub-netting and the general logic behind is what matters. Where you might actually use this version is for the SDM. While always having the current IOS is recommended for security purposes. Hope this helps.
Cisco is not really good for letting you know that significant detail as the command syntax does change for certain things depending on the IOS version (ie 12.2 vs 12.4), so as a rule I tend to look at what the CCIE LAB will be using and start from there. In this case I would say 12.4(T) would be a safe bet for now.
